Start Sight — two doors
We are not providing apps. We are connecting people with positive feelings. A person starting alone needs different words than a CNIB worker or an occupational therapist sitting beside them. Pick one door. Both doors do the same two installs. They just do them in a different order, with a different voice.
We do not put a resident helper on the PC. An older leftover named Pink House Sight could start at logon and talk in Mail. That was the wrong kind of install. Off zip only. The easy click now is a shortcut to the talking page.
The four facts — that is the thoughtware
- Stop first. If the whole computer is talking: Control, Windows, Enter.
- Listen lives at pinkhouse.tech/listen. Press the page. It talks.
- On Pink House, the pink button turns help on and off. Colour and Sound change this page only.
- Off is obvious. Pink again, or S on the trainer. Mail and Excel stay as they were.
When the person can do those four without you in the room, the thoughtware is installed. The rest of the book can wait.
What these doors are not
- Not a medical assessment. Not an eye test. Computer tips.
- Not JAWS, NVDA, or ZoomText. If they already live in those, leave them there. Sight can still sit on a website beside them.
- Not a help desk. There is a suggestion box. It is a box, not a person on the other end.
